FAQ

How far does the Holy Name Radio signal reach?

Holy Name Radio KJXP-LP 100.9FM is a low power FM radio station.  The FCC limits the amount of wattage that our station can broadcast and the height of our tower, thus limiting the distance our signal reach.  We placed our antenna on one of the highest hills in the city of Nacogdoches to maximize our coverage.  Holy Name Radio covers approximately a 25 mile radius from the antenna.   Some lower lying areas of Nacogdoches (East Loop 224) also experience some signal degradation.

Who owns Holy Name Radio?

No one person or church owns Holy Name Radio.  Holy Name Radio is an apostolate of The Saint Joseph Catholic Men’s Fellowship a 501c3 Non-Profit Corporation.

I heard something on Holy Name Radio. Can I get a copy of it?

Some programs are available from the EWTN Religious Catalogue: http://www.ewtnreligiouscatalogue.com/. Others like Catholic Answers or Women of Grace are available directly from the program provider. If you’re not sure where to go, send us an e-mail: info@holynameradio.org.

How do I become Catholic?

What a great question!  Please contact one of the local Catholic Churches.  They would be happy to inform you of the necessary steps for you to enter the Catholic Church.

How can I help Holy Name Radio?

We are always looking for help with the many responsibilities that come with running a radio station.  First and foremost please pray for the station, its supporters and its listeners.  This is the most important thing you can do for our station.

Holy Name Radio can also benefit from your financial support.  Our expenses are in the excess of $30,000 annually.  We have been blessed with a few benefactors who have generously supported Holy Name Radio, but more are needed.  You can contact one of our board members for more information.

Holy Name Radio could also benefit from voice talent, individuals with radio production experience, accounting and tax planning experience, and marketing and promotion experience.
