A traveling Diocesan Rosary Congress will be taking place in the Diocese of Tyler October 1-7, 2022. All are invited to participate!
What is a Rosary Congress?
A Rosary Congress is where the Rosary is prayed continuously before the Blessed Sacrament in adoration for seven days and nights, entrusting all to the protective heart of Mary.

Seven parishes throughout the Diocese of Tyler will host 24-hour adoration of the Blessed Sacrament where the Rosary is prayed at the top of each hour. The Rosary Congress will begin at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Tyler with the 8:30 am Mass on October 1st celebrated by Bishop Joseph Strickland. After Mass, Bishop Strickland will lead a Eucharistic procession, followed by a consecration of families to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
The Rosary Congress will continue in six other parishes throughout the diocese.
Schedule of Events for the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022:
- 8:30am: Opening Holy Mass, celebrated by Bishop Strickland
- Followed by Eucharistic Procession and a consecration of families to the Immaculate Heart of Mary by Bishop Strickland.
- Continual Adoration begins with the Holy Rosary said every hour.
- 1:00 pm: the Blessed Sacrament is reposed for a wedding.
- 4:00 pm: the Blessed Sacrament is exposed.
- 5:30 pm: the Blessed Sacrament is reposed for the vigil Mass.
- 6:30 pm: continual adoration begins again with the Holy Rosary said every hour.
- Sunday, October 2nd, 6:00am: Benediction by Bishop Strickland.
- 6:30 am: closing Mass celebrated by Bishop Strickland.

- Sunday, October 2nd – St Patrick’s, Lufkin
- Monday, October 3rd – St Edward’s, Athens
- Tuesday, October 4th – Sacred Heart, Mt Vernon
- Wednesday, October 5th – St. Francis of the Tejas, Crokett
- Thursday, October 6th – St Anthony, Longview
- Friday, October 7th – Sacred Heart, Texarkana
